I am so proud of my hubby Don,he made the most wonderful apple butter pumpkin pies.He was inspired by Paula Deans Thanksgiving Show that was on the food network lastnight.So off he went this morning to buy what he needed and several hours later my kitchen table looked like the pic below.He is truly the most wonderful hubby!

I have been away from my blog for so long that I decided a visit and some creations were in order.I made this reto cottage paper Christmas tree with bells and a cute flourish with a little chipboard reindeer on the top.This would be darling as a centerpiece or sitting on a holiday manlt or even as a tree topper.

Hello All, I am typing this little blog post to let everyone know I am on vacation as of this Friday. I Have really been in the Christmas spirit lately. I think it is showing in some of my new designs. It has been snowy and cold here in Pa so I am putting forth some holiday spirit and creating.I seem to be really returning to where I first started with my card and doing a lot of hand painted. Some of my very first customers bought my hand painted designs. I am proud of them and hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.

Fall Welcome

I am not to sure how I feel about the first day of fall. Feeling a bit blue lately. I am not looking forward to winter and all the sickness and cold weather it brings. But on the other hand fall leads to Christmas! Ahh Christmas. So to keep the blues at bay I am listening to Accu radio as Nat King Cole sings The Christmas Song. I am hoping and planing and wishing for all sorts of things. Family hopes and prayers,artistic bursts of creativity and well wishes for friends. It is hard to believe that just a month ago I was sitting on the beach and now it is officially Autumn. Happy and warm wishes to all of my creative friends and all who have many hopes and works in progress.Even if the blues are peeking thru the colors of autumn.

Feeling A little Creative and ...

I have taken some time off from card and tag designing and I must admit I loved the break. My Mom needs me more and my son does too. I know hubby felt a bit far away at times too. I had a small creative burst the other day while getting Elliot's home school materials ready for Tuesday. So I designed a few cards and tags to get me in the holiday creating mode. The wheels of creativity are turning again only they seem to be turning a bit more slowly this time. Maybe just tired and a bit reflective this time of year. My thoughts are mixed when it comes to blogging. For me it is about feelings and creations.The feelings I seem to have in abundance but the creations, well we shall see what happens.

I have taken some time off to enjoy my family and help take care of my Mom. I wanted to share some pics from our recent beach vacation. We had the best time ever and can't wait to go back next month. Don and Elliot LOVE the ocean and we spent hours on the beach just enjoying the sun and each other.

Well I guess this was bound to happen. Elliot broke the growth plate in his thumb. He is fine thank God! It could have been worse. He is such a good athelete and so strong that I think he forgets to bring it down a bit when he is playing. He can be very extreme and this time he was a bit over the top. He hung himself by his thumb in his basketball hoop. He then decided to go to his friends (they are right behind us ) and seek help from his buddie. He was afraid I would "make him stop playing and come in the house"!! Of course I would have!!

He is doing fine but out of baseball for 3 weeks!! We warned him something "bad" would happen if he kept up with the kind of "tricks " he was trying to do.This is quite a blow for the star pitcher /player. Needless to say his coaches were not happy! This is a lesson in We told you not to do that!!!!

My sofa has since been slipcovered in white. I know crazy with 4 dogs and a little boy. What was I thinking? I love my house at Christmas it is welcoming and cozy. I got a fresh cut tree to replace the white one that weekend. The next picture is the eat in part of my kitchen. I love retro Christmas and Santas. Can you tell? I had to include a picture of my dining room armoir.My husband picked it out and surprised me with it.
